Synopsis
Set nearly a century before the events of Game of Thrones, the series follows the adventures of the towering, honest but lowborn hedge knight Ser Duncan the Tall and his clever young squire Egg—who harbors a secret royal identity. As they travel the Seven Kingdoms seeking honor and purpose, they become entangled in tournaments, feuds, and political intrigue, including a fateful tournament at Ashford where Dunk must defend his honor in a brutal trial by combat against powerful foes, testing themes of true knighthood, loyalty, and the fragile line between commoner and crown in a world still remembering dragons.
