Synopsis
Mortal Kombat follows MMA fighter Cole Young, who is unaware of his hidden lineage and why assassin Sub-Zero is hunting him. Fearing for his family's safety, Cole seeks out Earth's greatest champions to stand against the enemies of Outworld in a high-stakes battle for the universe. Mortal Kombat is a 2021 American martial arts fantasy film directed by Simon McQuoid in his directorial debut. The film serves as a reboot of the Mortal Kombat film series and is the third installment overall. It stars Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han/Sub-Zero, and Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion.
